About Sojourn Counseling

Sojourn Counseling was established in 2005 as a small private practice to serve the Greater Harrisburg area. I have special interest areas that include individual, couple and family therapy. I accept referrals from individuals, agencies, law enforcement and doctors. It is important to me that best ethical practices are followed. I make that happen by seeking outside supervision, regularly attending training and maintaining licensure in Pennsylvania.

I take pride in offering personal attention to all of my clients. You will be able to reach me directly through phone calls, email and text messaging because I believe it is essential to a good relationship with you.

Beautiful things can emerge in difficult places.

About Beata Peck Little, NCC, LPC, CCTP

Hello, my name is Beata Peck Little. I would like to introduce myself and my counseling practice. Life is a journey, often with unexpected twists and turns. It is during these times of stress, when we find ourselves at a crossroads that we need to speak to someone to find our way. I believe that it is during these difficult times, unexpected things of beauty can emerge.

I am licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor and am certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors and additionally as a clinically certified trauma professional. I have been working in this capacity since the late 1990’s. Beginning therapy can be a difficult decision, so I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with some information. The important thing is that all the work is grounded in knowing that this is your journey and that my role is to be your guide as you navigate the process of gaining insight and knowledge. Sometimes this means making difficult choices or facing things that can be uncomfortable while you figure out what gives you joy and helps you be your authentic self. As your guide, it is my responsibility to use the skills and information I have learned to make that as easy a process as possible.

My experience is with people of all ages, individuals, families and couples. At this time, I accept people from the age of 10 through the life span. I have the capacity to work both in person and through telehealth. My primary hours are 9:45 AM to 6 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Specialty areas include trauma, domestic and sexual violence, PTSD and ADHD. Additional areas of focus include grief and bereavement work, women in transition, couple’s work--including LGBT couples, anxiety, depression and geriatrics.

I am an in-network provider for Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Capital Blue Cross, Aetna, Medicaid, Tri-Care, Military One Source, Optum and the State Employee Assistance Program (SEAP).
